The Glen Ellyn His­tor­i­cal Soci­ety presents Tav­ern Day: a hands-on his­tory expe­ri­ence for fam­i­lies and the gen­eral public!

 

Tav­ern Day 2012

Fun for the whole fam­ily: explore Stacy’s Tav­ern Museum, live ani­mals, kids crafts, rope mak­ing, log saw­ing, story telling, can­dle dip­ping corn shelling, kraut-making, pio­neer games and toys, bee­keeper, 1840′s school room, laun­dry demon­stra­tion, cos­tumed pre­sen­ters, and our Bake Sale!

Chrysan­the­mum plants will be for sale (while sup­plies last) – 2 gal­lon pots for $12 each.

Pur­chase dis­counted tick­ets in advance at the Glen Ellyn His­tor­i­cal Soci­ety mem­ber rate until Sep 29 at the fol­low­ing Glen Ellyn busi­nesses: Stacy’s Cor­ners Store(800 N. Main St), McCh­es­ney Miller Gro­cery Store (400 Cres­cent Blvd) and Just the Book Store (475 Main St).
